I notice that my HM-801 game amp is more transparent than Concerto.

What's your experience with HM-801's game amp?  It is especially noticeable  with bass, the game amp is more transparent, the mids are also clearer.  Is the HM-801 Lineout quality the weak link?  or is the game amp just better?  The Concerto has higher current so there is more dynamism in the music driving the Ed8, vs. the Game amp which is a bit delicate sounding but more transparent.
 
My setup:
 
HM-801 Line out>> Zu Mubius cable(mini-to-rca)>> Concerto >> 1/4-to-1/8 adapter>>Ultrasone Edition 8 and Westone UM3x.
HM-801>>Ultrasone Edition 8 and Westone UM3x.
