Alternative to Little Dot Mk3

Thread Starter

I'm using my Mk3 at work, but it picks up mobile signals all the time, so i'm looking a for an alternative with similliar characteristics for around $300.

Ill be using a pair of Ultrasone 900 Pro.

Any suggestions?

Did you tried different tubes? I learn that some tubes are more sensitive than others in RF interference.

I found the stock driver tubes to be shockers. Switching to CV4010s made a small improvement in RF sensitivity and a huge improvement in microphony....and they're readily available and cheap! It's certainly worth trying first. Provided that they don't get too hot, it might be possible to fit screening cans (ones that secure to the valve via friction, and don't require a valve base with a bayonet fitting).
