OMG you're right. I guess I'm imagining it lol.
Apparently the ancient greeks didn't have a word for the colour blue.. does that mean they should scorn the guy who invents blue ink? We live in an amazing age where we can experience new things and "x is meant to be y" kind of logic is pretty archaic. I have speakers too and appreciate them for their merits but if it's possible to achieve a sensation in sub bass I don't see a down side to it.
Like I said, to each their own. I am of a strong opinion that sub bass feeling with headphones is a joke, but that's just my opinion of course. I still think that those who claim that they like to feel bass with headphones are simply imagining it. Some headphones with strong bass emphasis and/or very high quality bass can give you the feeling that it extends lower than it actually does and that you can feel it when in reality, you just feel it emotionally as a result of what you hear. I have experienced this phenomenon many times myself. But whatever floats your boat my friend.
