This is a review of a pair of free IEM's I recieved from DUNU as part of a give away contest they recently held here on Head-fi. When I recieved my package the first thing I notices was...

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

Heya,
These are on-ear headphones, so you might not get as much response in the Full Size forum.
That said, I have the ESW9 which is similar design to the WS55, but uses different materials. But otherwise, are very similar in build and feel. I would say the EWS9 is pretty comfortable, I like it, it doesn't hurt over time or anything on me (unlike my Grados, which do hurt after a while of wearing). The ESW9 grips but doesn't pinch hard or anything, just enough to stay on nicely. It's soft and the sound signature is very warm and musical and not overly bright or anything, it's a very nice headphone to listen to and is portable so good in that sense.
Very best,
thank you very much,
still some more responses precisely on WS55 appreciated.

I have them. They aren't bad at all.. Initially they have a clamp but it is one of those sets that loosens up over time.. If you throw them on between some books over night they loosen up and become comfy. I wouldn't worry too much about comfort issues with them. They are fairly comfy actually. Great portables by the way. You can read my portable bass champs review on them if you search the portable forums.
Yeah i got them yesterday and the comfort is not that good at all after a hour my ears hurt like crazy so maybe i will buy the sennheiser hd 25 velour pads they fit and are more comfortable......

I converted them into full sized headphones by jsut sticking the j$ pads under them and using clamping force. Comfort levels are +1000% better SQ seems unchanged. Tighter seal, more isolation.
What are the J$ pads....? and they do fit a lot nicer then in the beginning much less clamp so they are fine but are wondering what yours look like...? grtzzzz

i'll upload a photo when I get home
Yeah, I have to agree, these are not the most comfortable set of headphones. However, after the first or second day of use, I didn't really notice them. Only if I go without wearing them for a couple days and come back do I really notice any discomfort. I will say that the sideways pressure on them is a bit much and the top headband is a bit too stiff for my liking, but I was able to expand the band and I didn't notice that anymore.
