Bump. Also a n00b alert, so apologies if the questions seem... dumb.

Having a similar combo: Sennheiser HD-600 + iPod Classic (120 GB) and am looking for a portable amp. My price range is a bit more relaxed though. Two question to begin with:

1) Can anyone comment on the suitability of V-Moda Vamp Verza for this combo? Or would I be able to get something better for the same price?

http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Universal-Headphone-Amplifier-Computers/dp/B00BQ9PCZW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1392662776&sr=8-3&keywords=V-MODA-Universal-Headphone-Amplifier-Computers%2F

2) V-moda's web page says that it is compatible with the 160GB version (https://v-moda.com/VAMPCOMP/). Is the 120GB Classic really fundamentally different somehow? The comparisons on the web do not seem to refer to any fundamental differences between the two models so I'm wondering why they singled out the 160GB model.

Thanks in advance.

While I don't take my HD600s on the road, my FiiO E12 does a very good job at driving them. I use the FiiO X3 as a source rather than an iPod. The E12 comes with the black bands.

Cheers... Brian
