Drunk listening

Thread Starter

Hey guys, in a thread I previously made, discussing how alcoholic drinks can affect your hearing. Eventually, it got to the point scientific proof has shown that alcohol can affect your brain and improve your listening experience.

fatcat28037 suggested that a thread discussing things such as the specific drinks people drink could be made and I personally think that is a good idea.

So here it is, personally I drink Jack Daniels whiskey when I feel like doing some drunk listening.

If any moderators find this thread inappropriate, feel free to close it but please don't ban anyone tongue_smile.gif

real ale all the way...unless i'm flush, then it's Cardenal Mendoza brandy.

perhaps in the spirit of all those interminable threads about cables, we could discuss how the shape of the glass you're drinking out of affects the sound quality. for instance, i am currently drinking beer from a can, and feel that the music i'm listening to is overly tinny with a hole in the top end as a result.

I dunno. A bottle seems to improve the sound of my phones. Especially those over-size German and Belgian bottles. And of you really drink a lot, there's a tendency not to move around that much, which improves your concentration on the music. (Before you fall asleep.)

Makes sense.

If it could make people appear better looking, why not sounds. Hopefully you do not wake up with vomit in your bed and ABBA on your headphonesbeerchug.gif eek.gif

Music is my anti-drug. Don't tempt me.

Yes, I find this inappropriate and am closing this thread.

I do not want open discussions of intoxication and substance abuse. There were also references to illegal drugs, which I have removed.

Here is where I draw the line:

1. References to illegal drug use will be removed.

2. Threads and discussions solely about intoxication/drunkenness will be removed.

3. It is OK to have a discussion or thread about your favorite beer, wine, bourbon, etc. as long as it isn't all about getting wasted.

I'm not sure if these are in the TOS and FAQ, but I'll start a discussion with Staff and work out the guidelines.
