I once had a co worker lady who was a foreigner and she brought a container of soggy cereal for lunch. I thought it was strange but I do not hold that against her because people from other countries sometimes eat western food to their interpretation or "error".

On the flip side, I know that it's common for Americans to eat other ethnic foods incorrectly.

Honey bunches of Oats is the worst cereal ever. This thing literally turns soggy in 30 seconds after milk comes into contact with the flakes. After that, the texture of the cereal feels like you're eating vomit.

I think Honey Bunches is great while it's still crunchy, but I agree with the 30 soggy thing. It just tastes like crap as soon as it reaches that point, which is very quick.

Not their fault you dont eat fast enough, cereal consumption should take 3.76 secs per bowl GAWD.

PS: alv4426 is not endorsed in anyway by Honey Bunches of Oats or its makers... But if he was he wouldnt accept money only free boxes of cereal and hopefully they call the Cap'n to hook it up too.

Yea, they taste very good crunchy, but as soon as they turn soggy, which is very fast, ewwww.

Yes, I only eat them if there is like little milk, and I want to refill the bowl.

Right now I'm at Frosty Cheerios. At least those I can eat a little more leisurely.

I prefer something sweet so give me frosted flakes wet down with 2% milk. Soggy is just plain wrong unless it's hot serial.

I can't recommend almond milk highly enough! I, too, had to cut out most dairy, and I find it to be an excellent substitute. I usually stick to the 'unsweetened' or 'vanilla' flavors. Definitely worth a shot.

Though I've heard that almond milk pairs nicely with cereal. Maybe I'll give it a try.

This is true, which is why I add a very small amount of milk with that kind of cereal. The Honey Bunches of Oats with Bananas is awesome though.

Recently I've been eating tons of peanut butter cereals. My favorite is Peanut Butter Captain Crunch. Takes forever for them to get soggy so I can actually enjoy a bowl instead of rushing through it.

Reese's had a decent peanut butter & chocolate cereal.  Like Cocoa Puffs for the PB crowd.  Stood up to milk better than Cocoa Puffs, though I think having Cocoa Puff-infused milk was half the point of the brand.
