Hi
Does anyone have any good recommendation for cheap interconnects. I kind of need a long one. Probably about 20ft. One amazon there are some thx certified monster ones for about 16 dollars. Any one have them?
Thanks

Most recently I've been buying cables from Blue Jeans:

I always recommend Monoprice cables.

They are really cheap and good.

On Amazon.com where I got my cables, one reviewer said that the US$7 cables were as good as the US$70 Audioquest ones which he had.

I use Tributaries audio interconnects in my 2 channel home theater. They do so many things right, with a nice balance of detail and body, at a very affordable price. They work well with vintage gear (like Sansui), modern mid-fi (like Denon) and entry audiophile gear (like Cambridge Audio).

Highly recommended.

Blue Jeans cables are fine. They are well built and the design is well thought out.  The service is great too. If I were in a situation where I had another rig like say in an office or basement, I think I would do it all with Blue Jeans cables.

Add another vote for BJC

Another vote for Blue Jeans. They've been good to me.

But also consider DIY. I built a pair of speaker cables for my Dad today. He lucked into a pair of free KLH model 23 speakers and a battered old receiver with RCA out for speakers.

I had some speaker cable left over, so I soldered on RCA jacks on one end and spades on the other. Total cost was $7 or so and 15 minutes. They work fine and Dad is happy to have a working stereo.

Not to threadjack, but the KLH 23s sound pretty good. We refinished their walnut cabinets and are getting the grilles back in shape. Plans are to rebuild the crossovers with new electrical giblets and I'll probably restuff them, too.

Monoprice
X3

Always bought from here
The cheapest around, cheaper the BJC

Bought from both of them
While BJC look aesthetically pleasing for some not all cable
Monoprice just far cheaper and perform on pair if not better
They have "premium" version for interconnect that is just Thick with shielding and such rolleyes.gif

Never had problems with either
Pick either, but Monoprice is alot cheaper since it run on such a larger scale

Radio shack interconnects look nice I have to admit and they are low in price. The only real disadvantage is that they tend to be long and you cannot customize the lengths like how you would from Blue Jeans Cables. But perhaps not that much of a big deal if you only have just a couple cables that are dangling in the rear of your rig.

I've seen some very low priced interconnects from K Mart, I think Magnovox brand. I believe in Home Depot, they actually sell Philips brand interconnects too  if I remember correctly. Best Buy sells some nice looking interconnects by the name Rocket Fish. I probably would buy the Rocket FIsh brand maybe if I were not to buy any cable over the internet since Best Buy has a solid over all reputation with satisfactory products (at least in my experience).
