Which Sennheiser headphones should i buy?

Hi,
i saw these two headphones on the Sennheiser homepage for 200 and 300 but somehow the ebay price seems to be totally different. Both are sold for approx. 120!
I dont really know what the specs on the Sennheiser page mean.. could anyone tell me if they just put the wrong price tag on the more expensive ones or if they are really better?
Thanks in advance!

That may be the most vague answer I've ever heard lol

Heya,

Sennheiser has their listed retail. All their headphones are sold at a different price by dealers. Just look at the HD650 and it's price some where else...

I don't recommend either of those headphones. We need to know more about what you're looking for. If you want a closed headphone, I wouldn't even look at Sennheiser frankly. Look at Shure, Beyer, Ultrasone, FischerAudio, and of course Denon.

Very best,

To be a bit more precise: i wouldnt use them for jogging or so. Maybe sometimes outside or on flights but mostly inside.

Does this help?deadhorse.gif

If outside and flights are in the cards you will want to buy closed headphones but neither of those choices are optimal. I would go with MalVeauX suggestion but I personally emphasize the endorsement on Shure (940 or 840) and Denons.

The Shure's would be good for alternative rock probably :) .

Thanks for the answers! What makes the Shures so good for alternative rock? Do you think the Ulrasone would be a much poorer choice? Because the metal casing looks a bit more solid then the plastic on the Shures....

HD25s are pretty solid.

The AIAIAI TMA-1 looks real sleek too.

Both are supra aural so you might need some time to adjust to the comfort level but they're meant to be dj phones, so they are really well-built.

The Shure's do have solid plastic. They're sound signature is more bassy/mid orientated which suits rock more.
