What size techflex for Mogami w2893 mini quad?

This cable is .189 inches (4.8006mm) 

 

Would the 1/8th inch (3.5mm) techflex fit over this? That sounds stupid; but I know that braided stuff like that can expand a little bit. Anyone have experience with this?

depends on the type, normally though the stuff that will stretch is not at all suitable for a headphone cable as its really microphonic, especially if its really tight. the size you want is 3/16" soft nylon full coverage multifilament.

You're right. I was looking at the techflex site for nylon multifilament and they did not list that size... some googling says otherwise.. thanks for the help.

Might have to skip this part. There doesn't seem to be a source for by-the-foot  3/16 nylon flex.
