Best Classical (or ambient, I suppose) music for studying and generally being a smartypants?

I have a bit of ADD so it's really hard for me to study in silence. But most of what I listen to doesn't help me either.

I'm taking classes in math, engineering, and physics if that makes a difference. I have to go up to Calculus IV and Differential Equations, and something like Physics 320, so there's a long road of insanity ahead which would benefit from being serenaded by angels.

I'm looking for anecdotal examples, but I suppose studies are OK too. I seem to recall hearing that Mozart apparently causes magical things to happen.. Anyway, for example If you somehow got a 4.2 GPA during your time at Harvard by listening to Tchaikovsky, I just gotta know.

Thanks

Haven't seen you post in a while! Welcome back....

Anyway...I had a high GPA in high school and college and I mainly listened to classical back then. My favorite composers being Francesco Durante, W.A. Mozart, the Bach family, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Leonardo Leo and Pergolesi. While I did listen to the music while studying and doing homework I think the main reason my GPA was so high was because I studied and did my homework. wink_face.gif
