Let's say that the measurement is test tone at 1KHz. (or maybe three tones). Still.. if they quote "honestly" 105dB sensitivity at 1mW. That's quite loud already. Most musical material could be heard conveniently at 85dB - 95dB.
50mW max. which translated to 120dB gives us 35dB dynamic headroom (from 85dB), that should be sufficient.
Referring to my experience with high-sensitivity speaker, the more sensitive the driver the more dynamic music can be reproduce. This could be because the amplifier would be less strain and swing output with less distortion. The second reason could be the amp with class AB output stage could work mostly in class A region with less transition to the class B. Sure, not all high sensitivity driver sounds good. But the good ones really show the benefit of their sensitivity.
I assume, the headphone driver would be in similar situation.
The most important of this Fidelio L1 is the quality of sound it reproduce. And we don't know it until we hear it. It could be good, it could be suck.
