Update: after collecting more information from various sites and head-fi
Members generous PM's answering my questions it seems the Fostex hp_p1
Is at the top of my list.

I have a few more questions which i already posted in the hp_p1
Thread before i finally am satisfied.

A smaller version hp_p2 perhaps would be best.

I have decided not to go with the hifiman 601 or cowon j3.
