Not sure if UE does it - but any of a number of shops do reshells - maybe you are thinking this is the Personal Reference Monitor - tuned to the individual that bought it - this isn't that CIEM....

No I was thinking the UERM which is custom molded to your ear. I thought the shells were the molds and therefore you would new a whole new shell right?

Yes, you'll send it to a company that provide reshelling services.

UE doesn't provide reshelling services AFAIK.

When I sold my JH13 FP, the buyer had it reshelled by In Earz.  As far as I know, the whole process went extremely smoothly.

Sure, there are couple of a services around who offer re-shell / re-mold of any universal or custom IEMs. Just provide them your ear-impressions, and original IEMs, they will do the job. Ultimate Ears doesn't offer that IMHO. But lot of other CIEM manufacturers does - from my own experience - Hidition (Asia), The Custom Art (Europe).

Unique Melody too, I think.

UM is kind of on the "a little more pricy" category.

Too infrequently there is an example of excellence in all things relating to customer care-which I just experienced and need to highlight.  UE has a superior reputation in that department, but since "corporations are people" (I just couldn't help myself) I am going to publicly acknowledge, by name, that individual.  She is the Customer Service and Repairs Specialist at Ultimate Ears and her name is Jazmin.  She is knowledgeable, helpful, cheerful and just superior in attitude.  Got a question regarding your next IEM-she's a go-to.  She never, ever disapoints.

For those curious, I posted an in-depth discussion about the Noble 4C and the UERM in a separate thread here:

http://www.head-fi.org/t/739512/in-depth-comparison-ultimate-ears-in-ear-reference-monitor-noble-audio-4c-wizard-design

It has a lot of information specific to the UERM and UE, while a separate UERM only review will be on CYMBACAVUM.

I've went ahead and ordered a pair from David because the UE Holiday Sale is just too tempting.

The lack of response is kind of worrying me lol.

Yeah, the 30% discount David gave definitely made the decision easier.

A fun yet expensive hobby.
