The stock cable is nice!

Only if aesthetics mean a lot to you!  The oxidation doesn't affect the quality of sound transmission.

Hi Guys!  I too love the stock cables but I do find that the voice cable plug is tapered and better suited to fit through smartphone cases.  I think the memory wire may be a bit more firm on the non-voice cables but I'm hooked on the volume and easy iDevice start/stop controls (when I'm at work and not using a portable amp).

BTW, the new Leckerton 760 with ADA4627-B opamps is a <great> amp.  I feed it with either my iPhone via LOD or the standalone JDS Labs ODAC that runs off of USB power (so it can be finicky).  The 3 gain positions and the digital pot make it easy to find a great range with iems and is so good with the UERM.  Great clarity and linearity. Have to recommend it.    As for the DAC section, it might be better suited to darker/warmer iems or if you don't like the warmth and bigger presentation of the ODAC > 760 combo.

Happy Holidays and Happy Listening!

EDIT:  Accidentally listed 4637...should be 4627.

Spot on, Cee.. I've got the very same opamp in the 760.. the amp pairs sinfully well with the UERM (and well, most any other IEM I've tossed at it!).  I agree w/ your assessment about the DAC, as well.

Yessir!  I need to post some nice instructions for the controls...will try to do that in 2014.  ;)

FlySweep:  I actually get too distracted by the Leck>UERM at work and have to drop the amp at times or I just want to listen.

I had clear 64" cables for my UE11's and they became oxidized after a year of use.  Ended up buying a black colored 48" cable as the oxidation was getting pretty neon green, and also because I wanted a shorter length.

Of course, UE released thier Apple friendly replacement cable solution a couple of months after I bought that 48" cable.

The oxidation shouldn't affect the sound, they just get green with use.  (I asked.)  I found more color on the cables where I handled them or where they came into contact with my skin. (I live in a dry environment though.)  I personally don't mind the green and like the clear/grey cables but the voice cable only comes in black and that's the one I use now.

Another thing about the stock cable design is that they don't have any solder at the "Y" split, they are simply braided together at that point.  UE found that solder/a junction there added resistance to the cable.

Whoa. I'm surprised how many people use the Lecketons with UERM. I'm one of them, and they are a wonderful match.

I don't see the ADA4637-B opamp on their website...

There isn't a 4637 for the 760... both CEE TEE & I are referring to the ADA4627-BRZ (which is the 1-B option at the site).

Ack!!  Sorry- I will go back and edit.  I sometimes do that...should be 4627.  Thank you FlySweep!

...yeah, if I could do it and still afford rent, I'd gladly join you. Congrants on the upgrade though.

@CEE TEE, I know it's been a while, but have you ever gotten around to playing with the PRMs and tuning them to have a similar FR to the UERMs?
