Right now I have a 16GB Sony x

What amp under $150 would be good used with an LOD? Would a Fiio LOD cut it or do I need to buy an expensive one?

Thanks

Ive been much happier with sony players than ipods. so much easier to just drag and drop music and battery life is like triple too.

I will recommend to try T3d (highely recommended), E11, E7, Nuforce Icon Mobile.

I found what seems to be a stock Sony LOD cable and tried to run it to my car's mini, then tried a stereo's mini input. Nothing Worked!

There's no option in the Sony X to toggle the LOD, am I missing something here?

Are you sure that it's a true LOD? Because with my Sony NWZ-S765 i had something which looked like a lod but it was actually a line-in adaptater to be able to use the Noise Cancellation of the player from another source with the stock headphones...

If there is a true LOD for sony I'm not sure if there is one.. should I stick with that or get an iPod, LOD, and AMP instead?

These will be paired with JH5 Pro's, so I'm wondering if the difference will be night and day with the ipod LOD amp set up, vs. Sony unamped?
