Xiang Sheng 708B Capacitor Swap Question...

Thread Starter

I'm recapping and generally tarting up my 708B, and was wondering whether these caps

were a suitable substitute for C104/C204 (shown in the bottom link to the 708B modding thread).

The caps in question are 0.22uf 250V Wima MKS 4-Rs which are metalised mylar. I intend on swapping them out with the Russian PIO caps in the eBay link (if they're suitable).

Any thoughts?

I'd be concerned that they are too large (physically) to mount securely, but once that's covered they are rated appropriately for the amp.
