It would appear that he was banned, and bans are not discussed.

Yep, that's what it says in his/her profile.

 

If you need to contact the person because you bought something from them contact a mod.

Yes. We don't discuss bans publically or privately. They are a matter between Head-Fi Staff and the member.

Bans happen when the rules are violated. You can find the rules in the TOS and Moderation FAQ in the Wiki.

Bans are only given after explicit warnings via PM and discussion among the Staff. There is an exception for spammers - anyone selling Viagra or shoes or whatever gets banned immediately.

If you have questions about the rules, please PM me or anyone else on Staff. We do not enjoy banning people (though I take a measure of pleasure in nuking spammers smily_headphones1.gif) and always try to work things out before a ban.

Because this topic hasn't come up recently, I'll leave this thread up and lock it.
