If you plug the HP out to a headhphone amp the signal that it would get is the one measured in your chart. The final output would depend on the headphone amp specs.

To cut a long story short: the signal measured in your chart looks clean enough to be amplified once again (by the headphone amp)..BUT (a big but) it would always be better to feed the amp via a clean line out (like the iPod Classic one for instance). And take into account that amping a phone is problematic because of RF interference.

Smartphone for audio performance: iPhone 4. Hands down.

Search for the Voodoo Control app on market, you will see which models are compatible.

I am "resurrecting" this thread because I have a similar question as mukumi had.

I own the Samsung Wave S8500 (aka 1st gen) with the latest firmware that supports FLAC too. Unfortunately due to Bada OS I can't use any other player yet or root it ecc.

Currently I am trying to become a simple entry-level audiophile and I was wondering if a portable low cost amp like Fiio E6 will help at all? Probably I will be using 24 or 27ohm imp IEM.

Of course the only way to connect the phone with the amp is the RF out.

I would not like to spend even a small amount if there is no significant difference

Also another question regarding SQ. Does the Fuze Rockboxed have a better SQ than the Wave (both without amps)?
