I own a pair a of HE-6 in mint conditions, which I love but I  realise I am going to need to upgrade my amp to get the best out of them so considering giving the HE-500 a try  if they sound close enough to the HE-6. I don't want money to compensate  for the cost difference but I want to keep the HE-6's cables as my set up is balanced. You can keep your HE-500 cable so you can use the HE-6 Single ended.
