I think this will also work if you don't have a sub with RCA out:

A 3.5mm stereo headphone Y adapter then a 3.5mm male to RCA to the sub and another 3.5mm male to RCA  to the amp\speakers.

I don't know how this will sound though.

Lol, well if or when I upgrade to a sub, the Dayton would be the best way to go as far as I'm considered.  Much less complicated.

Anyways, thank you.

I just wanted to thank the guys who helped out…and to give an update.

I dusted off my bookshelf speakers (turns out they were some old Polks) and placed them on stands next to my desk.

Result:  Girlfriend threw a fit...she said they looked like crap (said something about the stands not being as nice as the ones that came with her Bose CineMates.).

I placed them on the desk, but she did not like that either...she said they looked like crap (said something about the speakers being too big and too old looking).

So on to plan B.

I dusted off my old Onkyo and I placed it behind a cabinet.  She has not noticed it is there yet.

I purchased a pair of Harman Kardon HKTS 30SAT bookshelf speakers.  She can’t complain that they have and antiquated look.  I read that these are decent speakers…if not, I’ll return them.  I also purchased a Dayton 8’’ sub.   I’ll hook the satellites and the sub to the Onkyo and hopefully I’ll have an adequate setup.

I'll post pictures in the 'Pictures of your computer rigs' when  I'm finished...
