It would be quite nice to compare this to the Apex Peak, battle of the $10 000 titans.

To my ears at RMAF, the Peak is the better amp. The differences are vanishing small, though. I used the HD800 for both. The 800/Peak combo was the first setup to really impress me as I made my rounds. I think I prefer another setup over both, however.

Well I was trying to stay on topic. If you want to know, I've been most impressed with the LCD2 and HE500 BUT!! only on Ray's new amp the Dark Star. This thing is sick. I heard LCD2s around the room for the first time and didn't like them much at all but these sound gorgeous on the Dark Star.
