So its better than the Roc on high impedance phones but the Roc betters it for low impedance?

IME the Auditor was great with lower ohm phones as well- It made the ATH-W5000 really open up in sounstage with some really amazing detail and seperation going in it, The frequency extention was actually noticeably better than what i felt (not ab'ed) from my previous Stello HP100 and WA6. I l also tried the the Sony SA5000 and they maintained the same caharcter though treble got to present even for my liking.
With 600ohm Sexttets though it was really something special, closest thing to a transparent midrange that i've witnessed in dynamics.
ZX thanks for sahring you impressions with us, the unboxing video is a nice bonus though your camera directing skillz could use some honing.

Yo guys,
Here's some pictures of it for you guys:
Yes. I found all my low impedance phones such as my SR-80i sound wonky. On the ROC ampt hoguh they sound a lot better.
On a side note my PX100-IIi sounds darned good on the auditor. The X-CANV8P was the previous champ for my low impedance gear but now my opinons are shifting. Not for all headphone but a few sound just plain great on the Auditor.
Hey my camera skills aren't that bad man! Well maybe they are but I must say that I don't shoot a lot of video so yeah....
Glad you liked the video though.

Considering it´s been used by Sennheiser on several hifi shows to demo the HD 800 (afaik, seen pictures that prove it) and it´s the most powerful amp there is for 300-600 ohm headphones, my guess is that it´ll be absolutely fantastic. Sennheiser has used the BCL and the Phonitor/Auditor in their demo pods, and the lead designer is also a fan of Violectric amps from what I´ve read. He personally brought a prototype HD 800 to the Violectric stand at some show. I´d pick something from that list.

Lots of details but very low on bass. I wouldn't recommend it if you want some bass. I had to go as far as using a speaker amp headphone output because its bassier. + there's no intimacy.

Very low on bass? I find it to have as much bass as my ROC, just a lot more controlled and tighter. But not light in any way. I would also say that if you wanted more bass not to get this amp.

Indeed and how true!
Also guys if you want to use RCA's on the amp then there is no need to spend $80 or so on the Cardas RCA adapters. Just get the cheap $6 Hosa ones from Amazon.com. They work exactly the same!

UPDATE (11/26/2011):
After a couple months of ownership I must say the amp is just great! I tried it with another members T1 and I used my balanced T1 at the same time on my ROC. I gotta say side by side comparisons quickly rule out how everyone downs this amp as being bass light and thin sounding. To my ears they both sound nearly identical, only that the Auditor has better control, dynamics, extension, transparency. The Auditor, when sued with the T1's, amps them far better than the ROC could in balanced operation.
Also I will be finishing up mu review shortly for you all!

Will be looking forward to it. I just acquired a Phonitor for my HD-800.
Will be getting my UE9s from work when I get my DT1350 from Drew and see what the UE9 sounds like out of the Phonitor. Remember the UE9 is low impedence but I have read great things around the web about this combination.

This may be the amp for me if I don't go with a CSP2 for the T1.

for a little bit it will be paired with the rather mediocre M-Stage USB DAC. But soon I will be investing in a Musical Fidelity M1 DAC or something else that's pretty nice. Even out of the M-Stage the T1 is great.- Zombie_X

You'll like the T1 with the Auditor a lot. It will be a lot more transparent sounding. The whole sound will be clearer with deeper and tighter bass and the treble sounds so clean and extended. This amp will be more neutral than your current amp and you will notice it right away. You'll notice the transients are better and the dynamics are better.
Oh and about the review, I haven't yet finished it yet. I am aiming to publish it tomorrow. I mainly focus on the sound improvements in bass, mids, and treble but will branch out to dynamics and power.
