Well perhaps give us a rough idea how it would all be set up i.e passive/amp or actives with a hifi sub and budget cos what is entry level to one may be well over budget for another 
Polk anything, I love their stuff for home audio when I'm too lazy to do any research haha. As with anything theres always the boutique brands that deliver you more for the money, but then there are the go-to brands that you know which are always good.
as chris said, polk is extremely good.
However if you plan on doing critical listening i suggest going for a monitor sub.
I have a pretty cheap one (m-audio sbx10), but you can go yamaha or even krk
