For sale are my Sennheiser HD598. I bought them new from JR.com.
A fellow HF'ier did all the recabling for me and it turned out excellent. They are dual entry now, with 4 feet of the excellent Mogami W2534 cable & and terminated to a 3.5mm right-angle Neutrik plug.. so much more portable-friendly.
These blow the stock 598's away. I didn't realize just how much the stock cable was holding the 598's back until I had them recabled. The original, crisp, balanced 598 sound signature remains in tact.. only now they are much more detailed, clear, dynamic, and with a more full bass response. You can really hear the midrange sing on these phones.
I'm selling them cause I don't have a use for open phones now.
