Skullcandy hesh, tried these once when I was young, Atrocious.

Thought my friend was crazy.

I dare anyone else on this thread to try on a pair of airplane HP's say they aren't the worst.  My guess they were bought in bulk by the airlines for say 15 cents each.  For the privilege of $5 you wore them for a few miserable hours on the plane.

Beats, Skullcandy or the cheapest Sony or Panasonic buds are hi fidelity compared to those things.

MAYBE THE NEXT MEET SOMONE COULD GATHER THESE UP AND TRY SOME BLIND SOUND TESTS.

I remember how horrid the MDR-ZX100 is. Oh my, it is so bad.

I used grado's when flying to Toronto, it was a pain but it was all I had.

They offerred the cheap airline ear buds for $5 or so, I declined logically. I just had to be careful of volumes on my grados.

If you think that the audio technica ath-900's are the worst, then you must jave never listened to the headphones that they give you in coach on airplanes.

Most of us around here don't expect much, if anything, from a set of ibuds or airline earphones - but when a big brand comes out with $100-300 headphones claiming them to be 'exactly as the artist intended' there is a huge expectation.

So when we hear ibuds or airline earphones, we expect rubbish, and then hear rubbish -  no surprises.

And when we put on the beats expecting an eargasm, we instead die a little inside (and wonder why these headphones have a 400% mark-up on their value).

Yeah if the Beats cost $30, they would be AMAZING. What makes them terrible is their price.

indeed

eye catching looks shouldnt be 3/4ths the price of a headphone.

This winter I was fighting a really bad cold and I had an ear infection to go with it.  I didn't want to give up listening to audio on my commute, so I found the cheapest earbuds I could find on eBay ($0.70 in bulk) and ordered 30 pairs so I could use them on my commute and then toss them.

By far the worst audio I've ever heard.  The audio quality was about on par with the $5.99 earbuds you find at walgreens; but the microphonics were absolutely stunning.  Above the plastic Y-splitter, the cables acted as a perfect microphone.  Rubbing them between my fingers sounded like someone was gently caressing my eardrums.  If you really want to show someone what microphonics are, I suggest buying a pair.

Microphonics?  Hilarious, 70 cent earbuds.

the skullcandy skullcrushers

I know this horse is also glue but these are by far the worst way to throw your hard earned money away.

If you want to buy these, just fold up the cash into airplanes and throw em off the hearest overpast or just burn it even.

I owned a skullcandy hesh last year (just used them during sport activities) and they are really bad,

In fact it even stop working after a few monthstriportsad.gif

Worst would have to be a tie between Skullcandy Hesh and and the Skullcandy Icon.

The Hesh is like listening to your neighbor blasting away at max volume in the next room. Super uncomfortable and hot as well. Aprroximately the same clamping force as vice grip.

Unlike the Hesh I actually paid for the Icon because I thought it might be an ok phone to run with. I was wrong. No bass to speak of, PA system quality mids and ear shattering, all over the place treble. They were light and sort of stayed on my head but were broken in less than 15 minutes just from trying to work out with them. Junk.

i don't know what brand or name it is but the headphones they give out during international flights to watch movie/listen to airplane music are the worst.
