I think saying the M50 is the worst headphone you've ever heard is a bit extreme lol... I personally don't like them, but they are definitely not the worst I've heard
The worst things I've heard are definitely the Koss UR20. They sound extremely hollow and echoey with no highs to speak of and very muddy and distorted bass
I listened to a friend's headphone a few days ago that sounded awful. I don't remember the brand but I had never heard of it. A small (almost on-ear), plasticy white little thingy with oval earcups, narrow headband and glossy panels on the earcups.
The sound was very tinny and colored. Ugh, I just tore them off after 5 seconds.
beats solo.
I actually thought the Hesh didn't sound too bad. The new Hesh 2.0 is pretty good.
I've heard a lot of crappy earbuds and in-ears, but worst headphones I've heard? I'm trying really hard to think of something worse than the Beats Solos that an acquaintance let me listen to for a while. Pretty sure they were the HDs too. And they had no bass. Well, they had a lot of 100-200 hz, but I don't call that bass. My $40 Sennheiser eH 150s with loose earcups and distorted bass sounded better. My Koss PortaPros sounded better. I had some clip-ons that were nothing special, but at least they attempted to have a neutral sound. DT770 and M50? No contest. I've listened to a lot of headphones at Best Buy and the Apple Store and while a lot of them didn't sound good, they were still better than the Beats Solo. Wait...The Soul by Ludacris SL150/300 and the Sol Republic Tracks come close. The Tracks might actually be worse than the Beats. They're like the Beats but with even less treble. It's pretty close.
THIS ^^^
I agree with this. The UR-22v is actually much better. For $20 it's as good as it can get and actually has treble!
Senn HD201's
They lacked bass.... and mid... totally.... it was like listening to music with a HIgh pass filter at about 2kHz
I havent tried the UR22v yet, but the Sennheiser HD 201 far surpasses the UR20 in every aspect IMO.
