Sony...they can make some outstanding models...and then they can also release some of the crappiest headphones ever.

Totally. They are horrible, and they are also horribly popular, I see tons of them everyday on the subway.

Never heard them myself, but they're all over my college campus, probably because of the price range.

They sell them everywhere...and they are cheap.  People probably think, "It's a Sony, it must be good".

Yeah, I guess. They are not THAT cheap, but people prefer to buy them over ther on-ear headphones because they look cool (I must admit it, at least they are nice) and most of them don´t like IEM´s.

Well, the build quality is not bad. And all the buyers probably buy them and are like "This sound good, lots of bass", I noticed that most people when you ask them about how their headphones sound, they just say "They are fine" "Sounds good", but whatever. They don´t care and sometimes when I think how can you listen to music in something so ugly, I answer to myself when I see everyday people that don´t even know how to put their headphones properly, lol.

I'd probably get these before another cheap pair of of IEMs.
My Klipsch S4 literally broke apart within a few weeks then jack got screwed up, not to mention the crazy microphonics.

Meh, next pair of headphones I get will hopefully be the HD-25 iis, IEMs aren't really my thing.

The HD-25s are excellent...and they are built like a tank.  I owned a pair for almost 10 years and they looked brand new when I sold them.

Another good headphone is the Mikros 90.  Just as good as the HD25 at half the price.

I'm just gonna post this here. Dischord, this is how I EQ my stuff when listening to some electronic. This + V-Moda = Wubz
Try listening to Lonely by Rezonate with some basshead cans. OMG.

Ah, the Sony MDR-zx300. They aren't bad at all, given the $30 price. You need to replace the cushions with something that actually keeps the sound in, and install some acoustic foam inside so whne outdoors, wind doesn't get in. It also helps with the bass response.

It also helps that pretty much all the parts for them are available to buy as spares from sennheiser, so if part of them breaks they're very easy to fix.

You're a bit late for April 1st. ;)
