Good, cheapiPod Dock speakers?

Thread Starter

Hey folks. Just looking to buy for my daughter some speakers (with iPod docking capability). What brands/models do you recommend? Just looking for something good and cheap, and of course reliable. She's looking at a few models but she doesn't always know what she wants, so I'm reluctant to follow her advice until I get a second opinion

She's looking at:

  • Jawbone Jambox
  • Klipsch iGroove SXT
  • Sony Speaker Dock
  • JBL Weave Onstage
  • Altec Lansing InMotion

Any opinions/advice?

Ouch those look far from cheap for the SQ they put out so why not a line out kit like the Fiio L1?

Then use that to feed a cheapo Tripath amplifier and budget bookshelf speakers tongue_smile.gif

This dock http://www.kicker.com/ik501 , it easily sounds better than an other dock.

Yes, Kicker ik501  sounds great, it is one of the five docks that we have around our place, I like the sound but it is not very portable.   You can  get it on amazon now for $153.

But if portable is a must, check out ihome iP46 for $80

But my favorites is Denon S52

might no longer be in production

 no longer in productio
