Holiday projects ?

Hi guys. I got a school holiday coming soon so I figured I should learn something useful in terms of audiophilia, but I haven't really made up my mind and need some help. My current choices are :

Learn to construct PCB with precision so I can make myself some Cmoys and eventually Beta 22s (I can make PCBs, but 3 horrible PCBs made with a copper coated board, some chemicals and a permanent marker doesn't really count, even if they do work tongue_smile.gif )

Learn to spray paint so I can color mod headphones (will eventually do this since I really want to make a HD25 in chrome)

Just focus on getting a job and buy my way into the world of hi-fi

Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance atsmile.gif

PS : I'm 15 so learning how to design a valve amp or anything hardcore like that is out of question.

If you can, find a job that only requires you to work 4 days a week, 6 hours a day. That will leave you with some time to make a Cmoy. I was thinking of making a cmoy amp but it's kinda difficult to procure all the parts and equipment and stuff. I managed to cut a hexagonal block of wood, was going to make a circular one for my SR60s but it turned out to be way more difficult.

4 X 6 = 24 hours. As much as I like to, I believe that the local laws states that I can only work 20 hours a week maximum. Also I'll probably only work 1 day a week for a very long time, unless there happens to be a hi fi shop that is willing to hire me on the weekends atsmile.gif

Cmoy then. For ****s and giggles.

Or... since Australia's a massive place, what you could do is walk around aimlessly and then get back home by dinner. It's really relaxing.

But that could be dangerous, especially if you're going to bring along the expensive audio gear with you.

Well PCB construction it is then atsmile.gif Looks like I'll save some money on my amps. Now I just need to find a DIY DAC.
