PC Sound Card, USB to SPDIF or Something Else?

Thread Starter

I want to use my PC (Foobar) as my source for my music but I'm not sure how to transport it to a DAC. I have 3m between my PC and amp so I'm not sure which will be the best option for me. Which would be better, a PC sound card, USB to SPDIF or something else like the Logitech Transporter SE?

The DAC would most likely be a Audio-GD Reference 7.1.

Your choice of bus matters little unless:

Your DAC doesn't have a certain bus
You often run your CPU at load

If neither of these cases apply to you, there is no quality difference between USB and SPDIF.
