What should I get?

Currently have my laptop with mostly FLAC/ALAC or 320kbps mp3 music...connected to a Creative X-FI USB Soundcard. Which in turn I have connected to my Pioneer Hi-Fi, which output to a pair of JVC S-40 speakers.

 

I'm looking to upgrade...what are my options? Sorry i haven't included my budget...I have no idea how much the stuff costs.

 I'd suggest you audition speakers first.

+1 for very good advice : i know too many peeps buy into the whole Audioengine fad for example only to get these delivered home and get upset later (considering what they paid) so definitely audition 1st before you flash the cash tongue_smile.gif Also drop by serious speaker forums like AVS/Whathifi as this is more a cans forums hehe
