Haha!  So that distortion he heard was actually the conductor's baton breaking, and he could only hear it because his (MBL) products were so good.

Really good ad.

yeah it's a great ad, but a few things aren't really realistic: 

 

1 

the preamp is on the ground, not a really user-friendly position. 

 

2 

the room is pretty much empty, and without any room treatment.  

 

3 

the portrait of the guy on the wall makes him looks like a selfish...(sorry for the word)... a**hole 

 

4 

the big (well, enormous) house and the good looking wife make the whole thing looks a bit stereotyped. 

 

my 2 cents.
