Connecting SRM1 to TV

Thread Starter

So I'm connecting my Laptop and computer to a TV, it has 3 HDMI components, 1x 1/4" headphone jack(or is it 1/8" - i don't do imperial) 2x component set connections.

I'm looking to set the SRM-1 with the DVD player I guess, though setting it through the headphone jack might be preferable.

Do I need a DAC for this?

The TV will likely have an audio out as white/red jacks somewhere.  Hook your amp up to those.

Oh this is for DVDs?  You can use a mini to RCA cable from monoprice to do TV HP jack to SRM1, or you can use the audio outs on the back of the DVD player.

if you use the headphone jack , when you plug the cable, it will mute your TV, the best way is to buy a digital to analog audio converter.

we have a new dac called FiiO D3 , you can connect the D3 to the digital output in your TV ( most is optical ), more real feedback of same situation please refer to
