I want to show you the real beer-fi.

Stay away from the cheap brews. You'll get the best performance with the premium brands.

But they only come in glasses, how does this work?

I tried this with Coor's Light and I only saw a 0.54, maybe 0.60 db gain. I switched to Yuengling and instantly got a 4 db gain.

It'll work, but I've thought about using the ARRL Manual to cook up a little Yagi tuned for WiFi. Probably less than $5 of hobby store aluminum tubes and a little soldering.
