Picked 3 IEMs - need approval

Hi!

Ok, I got some money burning in my pocket and decided to up my budget a bit. So, I took a trip via WWW to visit Advanced MP3s site and suddenly - poof - I had 4 pair of IEMs in my basket.

  • Mee A151
  • Mee CC51
  • *SM E30*
  • Phonak Audeo 112

I currently own PL50. *The E30s are strictly for gym use only.

I picked the other 3 just to try something different.

My source is an iRiver Clix 2 and Sansa Clip.

I have a FiiO E7 amp/dac but it's for home use only with my Grado and JVC.

I mostly listen to hip hop, a trip hop, a little rock/pop/indie, a little electronica (Trentemoeller) and sometimes vocal.

Am I going to be disappointed with this choice of IEMs?

I would anticipate the PFE's not fitting well for such bass heavy music. Don't know anything about the other ones.

I can't speak for the others, but I've owned the MEElectronics CC51 and I was very happy with them. They are very sweet-sounding headphones with good punchy bass, forward mids, a large mid-bass hump and a small, but well-imaged soundstage. They have great timbre for drums and guitar, but didn't disappoint with my range of electronic music.

Thanks for the replies so far. Keep 'em coming! smily_headphones1.gif

I picked 3 because I want to cover as much ground as possible. I could also go for the GR07 instead of the Audeo 112. The reason why Audeo is high on my list is because it fits with Shure's olive tips. Don't know about the GR07 though.

I jumped on Frogbeats' good offer on the GR07's. Might just settle with two pair of IEMs.

One down, one to go.
