Headphone case search

In the near future (1 week) I will be buying a sennheiser hd 598 and with it a Fiio e7 amp. What I am stuck on is the storage/carry case. Are there any good cases which will protect the headphones and maintain portability. It would be another plus if they could fit in the e7 and an iPod. Thanks everyone.rolleyes.gif

HeadRoom has a series of bags designed to carry headphones and associated gear. Take a look.

They're also a sponsor, so buying from them helps everyone out.

Cool, thanks. I'll be sure to chek them out. Any that are specifically good?

Those Pelican cases sure are nice, wanted one for the longest time, never really got a round to it.

The Audez'e LCD2 travel case is actually even nicer than a Pelican case (similar construction though), it's really high end with better latches that are secure but don't hurt your hands to open...I bet it could hold headphones other than LCD-2s and a little gear too, of course it's ideal for the headphones that the foam was cut to fit.

I have one of these: http://jaben.net/shopping2/Hippocase_Big.html

It fits my HD650.  Probably would fit something a bit bigger as well.  Should have room for the E7 and the iPod as well.

Have you tried both? Is the LCD-2 case waterproof? biggrin.gif

I own plenty of Pelican cases as well as the Audez'e wood box and travel case.  The Pelican cases have rather annoying snap-latches on them, very hard to close and open, they scratch and gouge your skin.  The Audeze box latches have a spring mechanism so that they open easily when you pinch them, but are securely shut otherwise.  Yes, it's waterproof, dustproof, everythingproof.

I observed no hand grenades being detonated in close proximity to a Pelican case in that video.  Am I missing something?

Customize it so that it would be...

I am using a case that came with my color calibration hardware/software. It is the perfect size to put the original Senn foam in and have room for cables and misc stuff. I made a cutout for ipod/nano, have the LOD, portable amp, charger, earbuds in there. It does not have a lock on it, other than that it has worked out perfect and been on many travels.

The exterior dimensions are 15 x 10 x 5.25 - A while back I found someone on Amazon that was selling these but cannot find them again.

I just got a Protection Racket brand headphone bag yesterday at a local music store.

I also used the holder from the TMA packaging to make it even better.
