I haven't heard the ad700, but I have heard the HD-25 I-II and the bass was definitely punchy.  The rest of head-fi seems to describe the ad700 as bass-light.

 

Really hope my sarcasm detector is right here, or else I can't trust this place! Haha

Its funny that I haven't been a member very long and I understand a lot of these.  That picture could not possibly be any better than it is.
