Beats by Dre - Page 12

beats are still bad. i went to the apple store to look at cases and ended up listening to the headphones there.

the B&W P5 where the best, but they only sounded slightly better than bose on-ear.

the bose triport where the next best, but they where awfully muddy and veiled with bass bloat

the beats where the worst of all, the bass was strong but bloaty and lacked definition and weight, and everything else sucked really bad too. sony xb 500 is way better for only 50 bucks

Honestly, I don't even care about people who say how good Beats are. They are just so ignorant that I don't even want to enlighten them on audio anymore. But well yeah, FR graph is no better than draft paper to them, and I'm fine with it tongue.gif

FR graphs still meaning nothing to me.

I don't like how FR graphs don't tell me how good something sounds.

Yeah, it does very little. But little is still better than none, isn't it? tongue.gif

The problem is some people judge a headphone purely on FR graphs and make assumptions about the sound, then spread misinformation about it around.

I'm just a casual listener who lets my ears make their judgements, with my JH13 pro (about as neutral as anything I have heard) as a reference as to what the sound signatures of stuff are relatively.

I've seen headphones that sound nothing like what the FR graph says. And I don't think there's people who are foolish enough to be so obssessed with the graph. For myself, I barely even consider it when buying headphones. I don't think it even tells you the truth tongue.gif

Uhuh, all that noise cancelling must have cancelled out his bad hearing. Sorry, I couldn't resist saying that in the face of such marketing publicity stunt BS.

... yeah.

I don't see a red cord anywhere in that photo...Granted it could be hidden behind his body, but it is still odd that not even a glimpse of the cord could be seen...
