Why do dynamic headphones get away with only one driver? - Page 2

Headphone drivers' frequency response would be useless in a loudspeaker construction, suffice to say HF are equalized to give a sense of soundstage from a driver that is next to ear, whereas loudspeakers should be flat.

Physics, big drivers can't move that fast, and it takes a big driver to move enough air to fill a room with bass. Theoretically you could make some kind of god magnet and attach it to an ultralight and rigid ceramic cone and perhaps have a full range driver with flat response from 20-20k.
