SOLD: Eddie Current Lunch Box II in excellent condition and with extra tubes, $195 plus shipping. This popular compact amp sold out quickly and is now hard to find. Its a quiet, great sounding OTL amp that is excellent for high impedance phones but also has a switch so that low impedance phones can also be used. Here are the manufacturer's specs:
--Gain 22 dB Frequency response plus minus 1dB from 10 to 110,000 Hz.
--Power Driving Senn 600’s 240mW. Noise plus gain -84dB wide band
--Hi/Lo switch to match any headphone
--Tube compliment. One 6N3P, Two 6N24P
--Size: With tubes 5” H 2.6” W 7” D Weight 2.5 lbs.
It comes with the original Russian tubes which were virtually unused, and some great vintage tubes as follows:
6N3P Russian => 2C51 American Sylvania black plate Mil Spec; includes two tubes (one extra). Pack dates of 1-62 and 1-67
6N24P Russian => 6FC7/ECC89 Both made by Philips (identical construction) but one is branded as Super Radiotron.
This amp has probably less than a couple dozen hours on it. I used it with the HD600 and the BeyerDynamic DT990 600 ohms. I no longer have the HD600 and I'm selling the DT9900 (check out my ad for it shortly) so I no longer have a need for it. It drives the 600 ohm DT990 way louder than I ever would want to listen.
