Why do you need such a large SSD? I have a 120GB Samsung 830 and I've never even come close to filling it because I have a 3TB Seagate external drive. Get a smaller one (but not a really small one, they have weaker performance), and use the money saved to get a big ol' mechanical drive.
Storing all of our games on it. My 64GB SSD is almost full when I put Team Fortress 2 on it, so I need to make a junction with the SteamApps folder to another folder on my 500GB HDD to where my games actually reside so my SSD doesn't start filling up quickly with just a game or 2. 256GB allows for the OS, all the programs we want, Steam, and quite a few games which would make a lot of us out there very happy.
