Something a bit warm and transparent. Like the Fiio E7 seems to be. But higher quality.
Doesn't need to be portable, in truth I'd rather a desktop sized equipment.
Just looking for maybe a list of good candidates to read up on because the DAC is my next upgrade and I know what sound characteristics I want. Just not sure where to start.
I know there's a new Fiio DAC on the way, and it's definitely on my list to check out, but if I can get something better for a little more money within budget then I will.
At the moment I'm up in the air and simply curious and that's why I'm handing it over to you guys for some suggestions.
