personally i use mp3tag for everything tag related including album art. I've noticed recently artists using more than one artwork per album.
I've spent too much time tagging and organizing, good thing i can listen while i do it. :)
All my flacs are album tagged to them and checked by monkey player and mp3tagger and in all the albums show correctly in my j3, but in T51 no show, believe me after listing to T51, I could not go back to J3, it is that good.......

post #472 of 374610/31/11 at 5:47amwell if anyone is interested I was able to play all my music with album art, but not flac!!!! I had to convert the whole collection to ape normal compression and had to put a jpg of every song next to it in the same folder (easily done with Album Art Extracter for Rockbox ) and all is perfect. that if you would like the best lossless with Albums, strangely it doesn't work with flac!
Any comment appreciated, APE=Flac in quality for there is no quality loss or coding
post #473 of 374610/31/11 at 6:17amAnyone would advise me against using Ape, and why? I have been listing to my newly converted flac to ape on my T1 without any problem. What I want to ask and I know the answer is no, is there any difference in quality between Ape and Flac?

By "Keyaki" you mean the sony mdr- r10 (his wood housing) ? It would be nice if Fostex can make something similar with angled driver but impressions from RMAF seem to be average. The T50RP had great potential with orthodynamic drivers aswel and yes Fostex was making Denon headphones.
No, I mean the model Fostex never released in the picture you cited was using a type of Japanese wood called Keyaki, did the R10 use that as well? The new model TH900 I've only seen a single impression from RMAF, and he said it was about the same as Tesla T5p well that sounds pretty good to me. =)
He also said Ultrasone Edition 10 sounded horrible btw.
Flacships take a lot of research and time and are usually made in Europe or Japan, if everyone says they sound horrible (for the price) then we won't have any flacships and everything will become plastic and made in Thailand.

How about a Bloxx M2C or Sony E931.

I haven't tried APE on the T51, if you do, try some 24bit files to see if they work?
I don't think there's any difference between APE and FLAC in sound quality, but some people believe WAV sounds better than FLAC... I'm skeptical but you can check the sound science section or hydrogenaudio.
post #475 of 374611/1/11 at 3:27amI think APE uses a less efficient method of calculation, so it eats up batteries quicker. (don't quote me on this though)

@kiteki Yes the Sony R-10 also use keyaki wood, Fostex may have copied them or it may be one of world best wood for acoustic.post #477 of 374611/1/11 at 5:31am

(quote you)but for how much? if it did, You know its nicer/less repetitious to see the album art instead of the boring dull same CD info built with the player ,when you want to change the song esp. there is no physical keys like the j3.
post #478 of 374611/1/11 at 5:40amI have my t51 on 'lyrics' . Obviously I don't have lyrics with my songs, so it just displays blank rather than that cd case thing. I really came to like that look lol.
As for the ape/flac, I don't know the specifics, but I can't a sonic difference anyway

I'm still listening to my HM-101 into the Sony MDR-V6 sometimes, like right now! ^^
I think this level of fresh, analytical and perfectly flat sound quality definitely would satiate 95% of the population, a decidedly effervescent citrus flavour with hints of cinnamon and sandalwood middle notes. ^^
ZX700 and Creative Aurvana Live are more modern options.
I've noticed some onlookers are skeptical about it's size and price, well it's twice as expensive and three times as large as the clip+, which some people connect to the $1,150 JH16, if that helps you out at all. ^^
To keep the balance, the HM-101 sounds like fermented rubbish connected to my stereo receiver.
Edit: And just to clarify, this does NOT sound anything like the Hifiman HM-601, this is clean, fresh and digital, I don't understand the reviews saying it's "analog" or has "wide soundstage" that is the most incorrect thing I've seen in mai layf.
