Connecting Harman Kardon Soundsticks III Speakers to Fiio E7 + E9 Amp

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and this is my first ever post so please be nice smily_headphones1.gif

I currently have a set of Harman Kardon Soundsticks III for my desktop and a friend of mine recently bought me a Fiio E7+E9 amp combo for my birthday to use with my Beyerdynamic DT770 Pros.

I was wondering if it would be safe to connect the E7+E9 to my computer with the USB and then connect the Soundsticks III to the 'Stereo sound source Output' of the E9 with the jack coming from the Soundstick's subwoofer???

This is the first amp I have ever had so I want to make sure that it won't damage my desktop speakers smily_headphones1.gif

Thanks for your help guys.

My speaker system (Edifier 3500 with sub) is connected to the 0dB out jack at the front of the E9 and works perfectly. The beauty of the Edifier is that the volume control has a headphone jack which I connect my Senns to. Regardless of this, the jacks from the front panel of the E9 work fine for my 2.1 speakers.
