Hello,
My applogies if this is the wrong place to post this quesiton but you all seem very knowlegible and I could really use some help.
I am using a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Soundcard which I have had for years, and years on Win7 64bit. Yesterday I had to remove my card and re-seat it. When I turned my PC back on I found myself without sound. After reinstalling the latest drivers, many, many times. Windows 7 finally recognized my sound-card again. I am not using any fancy equipment, only my Soundcard and headphones which are plugged in using the standard pink/green audio jacks.
However, I am still getting no audio. On my playback receive menu I am only seeing two options, neither of which I was using before I ran into problems yesterday. The only two options here are "SPDIF Out" and "Internal AUX jack" I cannot produce sound using either of these playback settings.
Under "Recording" the devices displayed are "Microphone" "Auxiliary" "Line-in" and "What You Hear" (im not sure if this has any baring on the situation)
I have included some screenshots of what I am seeing. I am not very knowlegible when it comes to the specifics of sound devices, so im not entirerly sure what I should be using or doing to fix this problem. If anyone has any ideas, It would be greatly appreciated.
