I know they both belong to different category first one is computer speaker and other one is home theater speaker still which is one is better in term of sound quality. I wan't an all-rounder speaker for general purpose.

speakers dont power themselves what receiver for the energy?

I still have my take 5`s fantastic speakers for their size and price, had them over 7 years and will never get rid of them.You will need a sub for them.

Can`t say about the others but you wont go wrong with the take 5`s
