What the... i5 2500k is more than enough. 8 gb too. Get a better video card man...

 

I think your current rig is respectable.  It'll handle Diablo III fine.  Go for the headphones

I also think this is great news!  Really looking forward to first impressions on the PS500's.

 

Won't jump to any conclusions on sound signature.  Sure they look similar to the HF2's... but so does the PS1  

They look suspiciously like the HF2s I'm using at the moment!

I look forward to hearing them at CanJam@RMAF in about a month. Not that I'm going to buy one (I've since sworn off Grado headphones, especially John Grado models), but it'll be nice to hear them regardless.

And no hate here. The HF-2 is a good headphone.

I do wonder if it will have blurry or F1 mods available.

Though we should be thankful it isn't a HF-2 with a fluorescent headband and a doubled price.

I'm pretty interested in checking these out. I got into headphones too late for the HF2 and have been eyeing them used off and on for months. I currently have the RS1i and absolutely love them what makes me pretty happy is that it appears I can now get these anytime instead of having to possibly pounce on a pair of used HF2s if the price is right and hope I don't get screwed....

 

I will wait for the reviews but will probably pick up a pair of LCD2s first. I will also need to see Canadian pricing.

To all those who said that this new one looks like a HF2 rebadged. Then I say the SR225 is a just a rebadged version of the SR60. Or the RS1 is a rebadged elongated version of the RS2, or the GS1000 is a re-moulded and re-bowled of the RS1, HD650 is a re-colored HD600, T1 is a re-magnetised of the DT880...on and on....

Even if it's a "re-badged" HF2, it's still amazing. I personally loved the HF2 but can't stand the spelling mistake HEAD-F1....grrrr.....so if this one sounds the same or even better, then bye bye HF2.

One of the problems with your theory is the 225 has bowls versus comfies, and a bigger cable. The fact is the new Grado offering does look alot like a rebadged HF2. IOW it looks like a duck. Now whether it quacks like one is a different story.

Oh God, I told myself that I wouldn't buy another pair of dynamics - that it was time to move onto the orthos or electrostats, like a big boy. Add to that the fact it will probably be a billionty-eleven pounds in the UK, and I know I shouldn't. But the Grado child in me is jumping up and down on his bed with excitement, screaming the words 'guitar solo' over and over again.
