I think a pretty affordable option would be a Schiit Bifrost Dac with a Schiit Valhalla or Lyr amp.

If you dont mind waiting, the upcoming Schiit "Statement" Dac is probabaly going to be amazing (better than things costing 5 or more times more). If not, the Benchmark Dac 1 is a great is somewhat sterile choice, you can pair it with a nice tube amp like the valahalla for some warmth. If budget permits, the woo audio wa 22 and wa5 are also great with the T1 in my experience.

You just jumped from a $350 DAC to a >$1000 DAC. Slow your roll there cowboy. A great middle option would be something like an Audio-GD or Matrix Quattro.

Try searching some of the T1 threads for the amps that T1 owners use.

With high impedance headphones, the best way to go is probably an OTL from Woo. You should also consider Decware or a Bottlehead. I see a lot of Schit amps for sale, which leaves me wondering why.

FWIW, my re-built Singlepower Extreme, an OTL amp, sounds significantly better than my Woo 22, a transformer coupled balanced design, or the Luxman P1-u, a solid state amp I used to own. There is a harmonic richness from the OTL Singlepower that I just don't hear from the other amps I have owned. I know that Kevin Gilmore has lobbied Woo to built an OTL using the same schematic as the Extreme but Jack is not interested.

If you really want to stretch your budget, a used Eddie Cuurent Zana Deux is for sale on Audiogon for at a decent price. (I have no affiliation with the seller.)

Relative to other amps, it's not horribly expensive, which means upgrade-itis is on the high side.  Plus, they probably sell a lot which means some are going to trickle out.  On top of all that, expensive gear usually gets thrown on Audiogon.

Is that a good answer?

Yup, good points. Woo stuff is pretty darn good and is built beautifully, but is pretty pricey and may not be best bang for buck.
