New Paradigm Signature Series - Page 2

Yes this is a whole new line. Like I said I think it's a great idea. They've been in this business long enough to know how to build a much better speaker. As always you're always forced to cutback on performance to satisfy manufacturing costs. Now hopefully Paradigm fans will have somwhere to go when they are looking for something better than the Studio series.

Trickle down technology is also a good thing.

The store near me DomesAV, just got them in (and actually, unboxed them today ) and they look awesome (tower + center, they hadn't taken out the surrounds yet...and the piano black servo-15) I wanted to listen to the system, but my mom didn't want to wait around until they hooked it up. They look awesome, and the center channel could kill someone. I think the Main speakers are 4k/pair if I heard correctly. 4 woofers though...crazy.

Oh, if anybody cares, the JA20ES they have says "300" on it.

I've been a Paradigm fan for a long time... this was coming for a while, in my opinion. They were probably tired of not being in Stereophile's Class A speakers list

Seriously, though, there is definitely a market for this kind of speaker series. The Signature series is a very logical step up; if they have the chops then they would probably still be a bargain, fitting Paradigm's general philosophy. Go Team Canada!

I've heard of this line but haven't heard it. I've had the Ref 40 for about 3 years now. I've really enjoyed them but they definitely pale in comparison from what I know is possible. They were only like $700 as demos. I gather from a quick search that the S4 should be about $2800. I think 2K of inprovement would make them sound pretty damn good. However, the newer Studio 100 is a top rated speaker and I've heard people say they're a steal. Would it still be a steal for 3.5x the price though?
